Campus at Aliyar

The campus is enchantingly situated at the foothills of Anaimalai range, 26km from Pollachi in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu, well-connected by bus services. The Temple of Consciousness is the centre place of the campus. There are auditoria, classrooms, dormitories, guestrooms and a canteen to serve the needs of the trainees. Only vegetarian food is provided in the campus.

This institute presently offers the following courses in Tamil and English in collaboration with various Universities.

4. B.A in “Yoga for Human Excellence”
5. M.A. in “Yoga for Human Excellence”

The philosophy and teachings of Thathuvagnani Vethathiri Maharishi form the content of the course. This yoga course provides humanity a spiritual, scientific, simple and practical way of achieving Physical Health, Mental Health, Social Health and Spiritual Health.

At present 4500 students are studying these courses.

Moreover Kamarajar University Madurai, Tamil University Tanjore and Annamalai University Chidambaram have included the Vethathirian Philosophy in their curriculum.

Academic Activities

Our work has spread over several colleges and universities which included Maharishi's teachings in their curricula and a number of scholars are presently pursuing their M.Phill. and Ph.D programmes based on his philosophy.

• Trained nearly 1045 Yoga Teachers and 4500 Students are studying the course.

• Bharathiyar University have accorded affiliation for us for MA, PG-Diploma, Diploma and Certificate Course in Yoga for Human Excellence.

• Bharadhidasan University, Tamilnadu Physical education and Sports University, Avinasilingam Deemed University for Women and Tamil University, Tanjore has recognized as a Centre for running Diploma, Certificate,MA Courses in Yoga for Human Excellence.

Aims and Objectives

The aim of this Institute is to focus on dissemination of philosophy and teachings to schools, colleges and universities and arrange seminars and conferences to highlight the impact of Maharishi's contributions to science, philosophy, literature, individual peace and world peace.

With the mission of propagation of the teachings of Vethathiri Maharishi, the institute commits itself to enlighten the people of all walks of life through education and training.

Thathuvagnani Vethathiri Maharishi established the institution “Vethathiri Maharishi Institute for Spiritual and Intuitional Education” (VISION for Wisdom), an educational wing of WCSC based in Aliyar, Pollachi Taluk, Coimbatore District.

An Education Wing of World Community Service Centre

Vethathiri Maharishi Institute for Spiritual and Intuitional Education (popularly known as VISION for Wisdom) was established in 2004 at Aliyar by Thathuvagnani Vethathiri Maharishi. This Institute is the Educational Wing of the World Community Service Centre which was established by him in 1958 at Chennai.

The institute is located in the Temple of Consciousness campus at Aliyar, Pollachi Taluk, Coimbatore district, Tamilnadu. Aliyar is about 26 km from Pollachi en-route on the Valparai Road at the foothills of Anamalai in enchanting environment.
